ALAPHABET PAINTING - CANVAS BY CANVAS Collaborative Artists

FROM A to Z

View this painting and others at the Canvas By Canvas website.

There are twenty-eight gallery-wrapped canvases in this alphabet sampler painted by Canvas by Canvas. Each square is unique, featuring a different background, color and design, and font style.
Painted in warm neutrals with metallic copper and gold accents, the detail has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

Each square measures 6” x 6” and all are mounted in a custom frame which measures 26” x 30”. Each of the artists of Canvas by Canvas painted several of the canvases in this collaborative effort and signed her pieces on the canvas edges. The artists believe this piece illustrates the art of language in alphabetical order!

Magnify

MAGNIFY!!!

This magnificent painting by the Canvas By Canvas artists is so intricate and creative that you will delight in all the things you see everytime you look!! One of our artists found this wonderful scarf in a charming antique shop in Ft. Worth, Texas. Next to it was a box of old ornate magnifying glasses. It was too hard to resist....she put the scarf out on the table as the shopkeeper watched in amusement and arranged the magnifying glasses on the scarf.....and was amazed at the beautiful creation. A photo couldn't do it justice.....we had to paint it!! You might say it became our "Magnificent Obsession!". As with all of our paintings, photos cannot possible do them justice!! You have to look closely and follow all the brush strokes and realize how amazing it is that each square is painted by a different artist.

"Magnify" is a painting containing nine 10-inch canvases that are framed together in a custom black wood frame. Including frame it is approximately 32" by 32" This colorful piece will be a perfect accent in any decor.
The artists are offering this painting at the special magnificent price of $1,200. You can see more paintings at our website http://www.canvasbycanvas.com/

"Put Another Nickel In" - A Collaborative Painting by Canvas by Canvas

The most popular Jukebox of all time, and the one most often seen on mugs, t-shirts, etc. is the Wurlitzer Model 1015, popularly referred to as the "bubbler". This jukebox was produced in 1946-47 and its long-lasting popularity was driven by an advertising campaign by Wurlitzer which splashed the 1015's image in advertisements in Life and Look magazines, the Saturday Evening Post, as well as on thousands of billboards across the country. Although it is still being produced today, the colorful machine evokes memories of our youth spent doing the jitterbug, bee-bop, and grooving to rock and roll!

Another nostalgic painting by Canvas by Canvas, this piece is comprised of nine 8” x 10” canvases created by the Canvas By Canvas artists, each discreetly signed with the initials of each painter. The canvases are framed together in a custom-made sturdy wood frame that is built to last for generations.

“Put Another Nickel In . . .” is available for sale and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the participating artists.  Visit our website at http://www.canvasbycanvas.com/ for purchase information.

"Crazy 'Bout a Mercury"-A collaborative Painting about our love for the old and rusty by Canvas by Canvas

"Crazy 'Bout a Mercury"
34"x34" acrylic painting
Each of the 9 canvases in this
piece of collaborative art
is painted by a different artist

This beauty was found along hwy 80 near Weatherford. We are always looking for beautiful, rusty vintage vehicles to photograph and turn into a painting.
Just like Alan Jackson, we're crazy bout a Mercury too. This painting recently sold to a collector of ours in California. Guess he likes Mercurys too. You can read more about our style of art and meet each one of us here.

If you have a favorite subject, we can create a design and paint you an original piece of art. Maybe you had a favorite old car you would like to commemorate.

Collaborative Painting by Canvas by Canvas ~ Vintage 1951 GMC Truck

Tony's Pride and Joy
Vintage Truck Series
37" x 37" framed  SOLD

The Canvas by Canvas Website... click HERE for more paintings

The eight members of Canvas by Canvas met because of their passion for painting. They created CBC because of their friendship and their love of painting. Most people think one painting equals one artist, but not in the work of Canvas by Canvas. Each painting includes several squares or rectangles and each one is painted by a different CBC artist in their own individual style. Each member contributes their time and energy for a collaborative painting that is unique, colorful, and contemporary. The paintings are usually approximately 30” square but CBC works in all sizes and styles and welcomes commissions.
The photo reference for this 1951 GMC pickup truck was taken in Santa Fe when several members flew there for a photo shoot. The group meets for paint outs, birthday lunches and is in the planning stages for an April 2012 show at the Old Post Office Museum and Art Center in Graham, TX.
Thank you for visiting our blog and come back soon.
